Practical Tree Care Across Houston

Tree problems tend to become property problems when they are ignored. A dead tree can shed heavy limbs, an overgrown canopy can crowd a roof, and a stump can stay in the way long after the tree itself is gone. Tree Solutions Houston helps property owners deal with those issues through practical tree removal and ongoing tree care throughout Houston and nearby communities.
Tree Removal is our primary service, but our work does not begin with a saw. We look at what is happening around the tree, including nearby structures, access, surrounding plants, visible defects, and what the property owner wants to accomplish. When keeping a tree makes sense, pruning, fertilization, planting, or an arborist-focused evaluation may be a better direction. When removal is the practical choice, we plan the work carefully and explain what to expect.
Tree Solutions Houston grew from founder Daniel Mercer’s years of working outdoors around southeast Texas. Daniel started in landscape maintenance before moving into tree crews, where he became interested in the part of the job that happens before cutting begins: understanding how a tree is leaning, where weight is carried, how buildings and fences affect access, and what can reasonably be preserved. He eventually started Tree Solutions Houston to offer homeowners a tree service built around those practical decisions.
Today Daniel works alongside crew lead Miguel Alvarez and tree-care coordinator Hannah Reed. Their approach is simple: look closely, explain the options in plain language, protect the surrounding property, and avoid recommending more work than the situation calls for. Houston's heat, storms, dense neighborhoods, clay-heavy soils, and wide variety of mature trees give local properties their own challenges, and our work is shaped around those conditions.

Not every tree concern requires removal. We look at what you want to solve and explain whether removal, pruning, monitoring, planting, or another service makes more sense.
Houston-area yards often include fences, pools, driveways, roofs, utility areas, landscaping, and limited equipment access. Those details are considered when planning the work.
We explain the proposed scope in straightforward language so you know what work is being discussed and what factors may affect it.
Because we handle removal, pruning, stumps, planting, fertilization, and tree evaluations, we can think about the property beyond a single visit.
Our work is shaped by southeast Texas weather, rapid growth, storm exposure, heavy soils, and the mature trees found throughout established local neighborhoods.
Removal may be worth considering when a tree is dead, severely damaged, structurally compromised, repeatedly dropping major limbs, or creating a conflict that cannot reasonably be corrected. The right answer depends on the tree and its surroundings, so an on-site look is usually the best starting point.
Tree removal pricing varies widely based on height, trunk size, condition, access, nearby structures, equipment needs, and how the debris is handled. A small accessible tree and a large tree over a roof involve very different levels of work, so we prefer to price the actual property rather than give a one-size-fits-all number.
Many removals involve trees near homes, fences, pools, sheds, or neighboring property. Those obstacles affect the work plan and may require the tree to be taken down in controlled sections rather than simply felled.
Stump removal is typically treated as its own part of the project because some property owners want the stump handled while others prefer to leave it. We can discuss stump removal along with the tree work so the scope is clear before the job begins.
